DESCRIPTION:You can’t always rely on your technology in the backcountry (or even some areas in the front country)! In our 90 minute Orienteering Program\, you’ll learn the basics of compass and map reading and practice your new compass skills on a short string course before heading out onto Up Yonda Farm’s orienteering course. \nThis program is best for learners ages 10 and above that are interested in learning how to navigate the outdoors. Participants should be able to walk 1 mile over uneven (uphill and downhill) terrain. \nCompasses\, maps\, and instruction will be provided\, and young participants will pair with their adult chaperones as teams on the orienteering course. \n$5 per person in addition to $6 per vehicle Day Use Fee.
