DESCRIPTION:The Lake George Land Conservancy’s annual Hike-A-Thon is a one-day event held each July 5th\, created to showcase LGLC’s parks and preserves as free public resources\, and to promote an appreciation for the outdoors and protecting the land that protects the lake.\nThis year we are celebrating our 10th year! Join us for our biggest and best Hike-A-Thon yet! Hikes and paddles take place simultaneously at locations around Lake George\, culminating with aerial photography of each group by helicopter. The event is free – we want everyone to be able to participate\, regardless of financial means. \nThe Hike-A-Thon includes 22 sites around Lake George with volunteer-led hikes (and one paddle). Virtual participation is also offered\, for those who are not at the lake or who aren’t able to join group activities yet because of safety or other concerns.
